B.Sc. Biology, 2009, Laval University
M.Sc. Biology, 2012, Laval University
Ph.D. Biology, 2013-2017, Laval University
On Anticosti Island, the high white-tailed deer population drive compositional changes in the forest, from balsam fir to monospecific white spruce stands. Emilie’s thesis aims to evaluate how the susceptibility of firs to browsing varies in function of neighbouring trees. This project will generate management recommendations to favourite a vigorous fir regeneration, by suggesting, for example, to favour or not the presence of neighbouring plants.
