Canadian Beijing+25 Network: Resources for Action Coalitions
The Beijing+25 Network is a grassroots network of over 70 feminist and equality-seeking organizations working domestically on women’s rights and gender equality issues in Canada. The organizations within the Network are committed to monitoring the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA) in Canada. For the Beijing +25 review, there are six Action Coalitions centring on critical areas for women’s rights and gender equality: Gender-Based Violence, Economic Justice and Rights, Bodily Autonomy and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Feminist Action for Climate Justice, Technology and Innovation for Gender Equality, and Feminist Movements and Leadership, plus the Generation Equaliy Forum Compact on Women, Peace and Security and Humanitarian Actions.
CFUW was a member of the Network’s Working Groups to develop key priorities and actions for each of the Action Coalition’s critical areas.
